Junior Art Camp (8-12)

Week 1: Art Foundations & Creativity (July 6–10) - $375 (full day)

Students will explore the fundamentals of art while expressing their individuality through creative projects.

  • Create a self-portrait that reflects their personality

  • Learn about color through a collage color wheel

  • Build a 3D room model with custom decorations

  • Design a creative shoe inspired by a character or theme

  • Explore the elements of art through mixed media

Week 2: Animals & Nature (July 13–17) -$375 (full day)

This week focuses on animals, texture, and creativity through hands-on projects.

  • Create a 3D goldfish bowl scene

  • Design colorful geckos and animal drawings

  • Learn depth through a layered “clutter of cats” artwork

  • Draw and paint pet portraits

  • Build animals using recycled materials

  • Create interactive string puppet birds

Week 3: Mythology & Magic (July 20–24) - $375 (full day)

A magical week where imagination takes the lead.

  • Create their own fairy or wizard wand

  • Build a mini fairy house

  • Design a mythical creature using collage and drawing

  • Sculpt their creature into a 3D form

  • Make their own elven crown or circlet

Week 4: Art Through Time (July 27–31) - $375 (full day)

Students will explore different art movements and artists throughout history.

  • Create cave-style paintings

  • Experience the Renaissance with a fun “Michelangelo-style” drawing activity

  • Paint inspired by Monet’s water lilies

  • Explore modern art through Keith Haring-inspired designs

 

Week 5: Storybooks & Comics (August 17–21) - $375 (full day)

This week focuses on storytelling through art and character creation.

  • Design paper dolls and characters

  • Learn how to create scenes with foreground, middle, and background

  • Begin exploring storytelling through visual art

Week 6: Around the World (August 24–28) - $375 (full day)

Students will explore art from different cultures and traditions.

  • Create cultural masks using mixed media

  • Learn about Ancient Egypt through themed artwork

  • Explore Indigenous Canadian art (Norval Morrisseau-inspired)

  • Paint Japanese Sumi-e landscapes

  • Create colorful Huichol yarn art​​​

Our Studio Blue Summer Camp is designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and help young artists explore a wide range of artistic styles and techniques.

 

Each week features a unique theme, allowing students to experiment with different materials, learn new skills, and create exciting projects—from painting and sculpture to design and mixed media. Through guided instruction and hands-on activities, students will develop foundational art skills while expressing their imagination in a fun and supportive environment.

 

Whether your child is just starting out or already loves art, this camp offers something new every week.

Camp hours:

9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Extended care is available for families who need a longer day:

Morning care from 8:00-9:00 AM is $40/week

Afternoon care from 4:00-5:30 PM is $40/week

Full extended care (8:00-5:30) is $70/week

Schedule:

8:00 - 9:00 AM (Extended Care): Free sketching, crafts, art games, independent activities

9:00 - 9:30 AM: Welcome and warm-up drawing or creative exercises

9:30 - 10:45 AM: Morning art lesson

10:45 - 11:00 AM: Morning snack break

11:00 - 12:00 PM: Hands-on studio time

12:00 - 1:00 PM: Lunch and indoor time1

:00 - 2:45 PM: Guided project continuation or new technique exploration

2:45 - 3:30 PM: Creative free time - finish projects or try a fun mini craft

3:30 - 3:45 PM: Afternoon snack break

3:45 - 4:00 PM: Daily wrap-up and student art showcase

4:00 - 5:30 PM

(Extended Care): Choice-based activities like sketching, coloring, puzzles, group crafts, or a relaxing movie​​

 

Supplies

All art supplies are included, and campers will enjoy a wide variety of hands-on projects inspired by new themes each week. Students are also welcome to bring their own sketchbooks or personal art supplies if they wish.

 

​Food

Students should bring their own snacks and lunches to camp (MUST BE NUT FREE).

Every Friday is Pizza Day-full-day campers receive two slices at no extra charge.​Full camp

Sibling Discount: 10% off for each additional sibling (first child is full price, second child is 10% off)

Multi week Discount: 5% off when booking 2weeks, 10% off when booking 3+ weeks

Please note: We DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS for missed days or cancellations. If a camper is unable to attend due to illness and a valid doctor's note is provided, a credit will be issued for the missed time. This credit may be applied to a future week of'summer camp, subject to availability. Please note that the credit is only valid for use during the summer camp. Make-up classes are not available. Space is limited, and we recommend booking early. Changes made to a completed registration are subject to a $30 administration fee (non-refundable).
